UPCON's unique features

Our patented "ball and socket" hinge system with a locking pin is the innovation that allows the UPCON system to provide revolutionary utility within many industries.

All panels interlock with other size panels utilizing the hinge system. Panels are secure once snapped together.

With four panel sizes in stock, almost any size UPCON can be quickly constructed and then deconstructed and put back into inventory for reassembly.

Custom engineered plastic "pins" are inserted behind the flexible finger in the hinge in order to lock it into place. The pin is removable and inexpensive (disposable).

The universal center circle on each panel serves as a pick-up point for robot, manual handles or lifting loops. The panel has an embedded "socket" which is universal.

Every panel is embedded with a unique RFID antenna. A box with six panels or more registers a unique COMBINATION of codes, and identifies a specific content/shipment.  

The UPCON hinge retrofit edge can adapt any size panel, custom-cut size from wood or plastic sheet material into a UPCON component.

UPCON can be built with the waffled surface on the inside or the outside of the container, depending on the application. 

An UPCON can be quickly assembled by hand with the pressure of an adult person pushing with their hand using their body weight. No tape, glue or staples are needed to hold the UPCON together.

Adjusting any UPCON by six inches in any length, width, or height takes only a few minutes. No more obsolete bulk bin sizes since all panels can be reconfigured.

With UPCON's reconfiguration ability, they can adapt to fit any existing pallet size nearly perfectly. If a configuration is desired permanently, it can be ultrasonically welded to add strength at all hinged seams.

Robotic or mechanical assembly allows for very rapid construction of various sized containers. One packaging line could allow assembly of many different sizes using only four panels.
